“We love “The White House” !! The best place to stay while in Port Douglas, whether you are looking to go non stop while in town or simply to go into rest and relax mode and really unwind.
The old Queenslander style of architecture set amidst all the lovely greenery, which attracts the birds so well, is a total delight. Apartments are very well equipped and the balcony is just the best spot to while away a few hours with a book in your hand and coffee or wine to hand as the days slip gently by.
The pool area has been very thoughtfully set out, with full protection from the strong north queensland sun and there is everything to hand for a very enjoyable barbecue beside the pool.
You can wander off over the road, through the paperbarks to Four Mile Beach, passing spots for light snacks and coffee on the way and a place for a full meal as well. This beach really buzzes at time of Carnivale, the family beach day is wonderful – something for everyone. Interesting shopping and eating in the main part of Port. Book a spot at “The White House” and enjoy it all.”
